Hi. I somehow downloaded the winantivirus program and it has messed up my computer. I cant add/remove programs

I have deleted the winantivirus files but now I cannot access the control panel. A pop-up window says that it is restricted and to contact system administrator. Another pop-up window keeps popping up telling me to download an antispyware program. Which if you click yes, takes you back to the winantivirus website. Help please. Thanks.

Virus…Am unable to locate CONTROL PANEL and other important things because it says I have no administrator..

It requires that I have administrator privileges because we think we got a pretty bad virus. I cannot access the Control Panel to fish around in there. We aren’t even able to do a system restore or anything because of the fact that we can’t access due to administrator privileges. If anything we are just trying to get our family’s pictures off the computer to put on CD’s to preserve them but we can’t even do that. CAN ANYONE HELP US PLEASE!!?? Images will also not show up on webpages, etc. The internet is relatively fast, however, when it does work. I’m fairly savvy with the computer and I’m trying my hardest.
I am also unable to open the smallest things like Internet Explorer Options to try deleting cache and stuff like that..
Both. The Control Panel is nowhere to be found. Even in the Search menu. Tried Run…cmd typed control panel and it still says I need administrative privileges from even there.
Still says this operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator. This is a Home PC…we’ve never had this problem before. And as far as system restore….WE NEED THOSE PICTURES!
In the Help Center I get some weird messages that say cannot locate ATL.DLL or something.
On another note…when we press Ctrl+Alt+Delete we are unable to ask the TASKBAR WHATSOEVER at any point.
Thanks Kayla. I was in text support at once before but haven’t encountered this…not at least trying to salvage priceless memories ya know. The only error messages I’ve seen are the ones mentioned above. I’m actually in SAFE MODE right now… There is this blinking thing in the bottom right that says you have spyware crap but when you click on it IT IS the spyware crap…I even managed to uninstall it but its still there. This is a fairly new computer too.

It started happening around about 2 months when my cousin’s husband was downloading porn and then downloaded a spyware thing off the internet for bucks and the word "license" was spelled wrong…so ……………… we just wanna preserve these pics but we aren’t even allowed to use the CD-ROM to burn them onto and uploading them would take at least a year.
It automatically opens in safe mode regardless. Some errors are LOW ON VIRTUAL MEMORY; APPLICATION HAS FAILED TO START BECAUSE ATL.DLL WAS NOT FOUND; alg.exe NEEDS TO CLOSE, send or don’t send; 129296.exe needs to close, send or don’t send; System Restore has been turned off and can’t be turned on in safe mode.
Well I downloaded Norton 2007 and was attempting to install it, BUT IT WON’T LET ME INSTALL IT IN SAFE MODE???

We are unable to locate the CD’s we need…can someone tell me what the cd would be called so i can download it?
How do I check my emails on my answer account?

I'm getting the error message: "This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this…"

I’m getting the error message: "This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator" – when I try to access the control panel, system information, user accounts, etc. This is on my HOME computer. There is NO network or System Administrator. Could this be caused by a virus? I found the Zango virus and am attempting to remove it but cannot get to my add/remove programs either. Any suggestion??

Restrictions message, missing control panel….?

I tried to open up the properties box on the explorer icon to delete cookies, etc. and a restrictions box came up saying "This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator." So, I thought maybe my log on account had been changed from administrator to a limited account. I was going to the start menu to access the control panel, and the control panel is no longer there…does anyone have any idea what may be going on here?

Thanks in advance

My control panel is missing, How do I get it back?

it says : Restriction: This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer, Please contact your system administrator.

Yes I am the only one who uses this computer and go on the same web sites since I got the computer. Control panel has been missing for about 3 days and I can’t click onto internet properties either.

Another popup also says: Warning! Potential Spyware Operation!

Your computer is making unauthorized copies of your system and Internet files. Run full scan now to pervent any unathorised access to your files! Click yes to download spyware remover…

I have already tried rebooting in safe mode, Spyware removal{{anti spyware} ,Antivirus. I tried to add Norton Antivirus 2007 but I have to remove my old version and can’t because I can’t add/remove software. Is there a way to make my computer like new without losing the factory installed software? I already tried system restore and that didn’t work either.

Thanks in advance: Chris

My control panel won't open. How do I fix it?

Every time I try to access my control panel, a window pops up saying "the operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator." Also, most of the programs on the control panel don’t work, such as display properties and add/remove programs, so I can’t uninstall programs. The user I’m using is already the admin. Is there any way to make the control panel work again without going through system restore because I can’t access that either?

I tried the system restore , It only allowed me to go back a few days. That didn’t work either.

How can I remove a Trojan Virus manually ?

I have 2 viruses that my Anti-Virus(Webroot Antivirus with AntiSpyware) protection can not delete. There called Trojan/Virtum-Gen and Mal/Emogen-K. I tryed searching a way in how to remove them but what i think the effect on one of them is that every time i search something on any search engine about a virus it brings this advertisement page up. Another effect that occurs is that it will not allow me how to access to control panel. It always says Your system Administrator has disabled the control panel.
