Anyone know average jail time for check fraud?

I just found out a few days ago that my boyfriend (now ex) stole a bunch of checks from me and used that at a bunch of different places. Well I filed police reports with each city/county that a check was used in. I even have survalence video footage from a liquor store with his face. The total amounts only equal up to be about 0.00 but I was told that check fraud is a felony. I was wondering if anyone knows how long he will have to go to jail for? He has LOTS of priors, none for check fraud, but one is for providing false identification to an officer. Any ideas?

Jail Time for Check Fraud?

We live in Minnesota. And No I do not want to get back together with him, I want him to pay for what he did. Unfortunetely he will always be in my life because I am 5 months pregnant with his child.
my bank covered all of the stolen money. i get it all back. i am not worried about that. i just want to make sure he doesn’t get away with this. he is a very bad person. he told the places that they were his wife’s checks and that she knew he was using them.

If Obama were 2 ask you 2 accept an invisible barcode tattoo on your forehead or hand to get benefits, would U?

Obama has promised a lot. The people who voted for him are counting on it. But we have a huge problem with fraud, identity theft, and illegal immigration out there. Technology now exists where tattoos can be put on the body that are only visible via infrared light…like the scanners at the grocery store.

The controversy over phony voter registrations became a big election issue this last go ’round. But tattoos identifying precisely who you are would solve many of those identification problems at the polling booth as well as ANY other location throughout society where identification and validation of the person was necessary.

So you know you love Obama. Imagine his smiling face coming on the television to tell you about his innovative new program to send certain Americans stimulus checks but he needs to validate who you really are before his representative would hand you the check.

And for middle income Americans, he wants to give you a TAX BREAK like he promised, but to identify who you are to make sure you qualify, you need to have his invisible tattoo on your hand. He’ll even offer special financial incentives for the first 50 million Americans to sign up and get invisibly tattooed!

Would you do it?

Why do foreign visitors going into the US have to pay an immigration tax of $10 per person?

If this is to ensure national security and to cover the costs to give people retina scans and fingerprints why dont American people pay for these costs? After all, it would be for their own national safety that these checks need to be made.

How do I get my checks?

So, My company went out of business. One day the district manager walked in at close said "everyone clock out, we’re out of business" They had a U-HAUL ready and started taking things out of the restaurant. I really don’t think they have any intension’s of paying me, or any of the other employees. I’ve been emailing them for the past week. The women who handles payroll says she just "doesn’t know" when checks will be made out! I’m furious! So what do I do to take care of this? I mean, I want to go to the extreme. I want to sue them if I can. I mean, anything to take them down! Anybody have any advice. What can I do to teach this company a lesson!

not getting paid for all hours?

i work at arbys. me and many of the other employees have not been getting payed for all of our hours on our checks. they said that we had to keep all of our clock out slips if they could do anything. are they required to keep a copy of the old payroll sheets? i found a file of old payrolls but they were over 6 months old. what can i do about this

Unemployment appeal.?

I worked for my employer for 7 years, in that 7 years I might have missed 5 days of scheduled work. About 4 years ago, my employer began hiring foreign students during the busy summer months. About a year after that, the students that we being hired started complaining about their paychecks being short monies and hours that they work. I informed everyone that it would be wise to keep up with their clock in and clock out slips being that I had no control over payroll, start doing the math at the end of the pay period just to be sure. This became an ongoing problem for the students and many chose not to work for the store. After losing many good employees due to the way they were being treated, I looked into the attendance sheets tat were printed at the end of each pay period and found that the owner of the store was skimming off the top of almost everyone who was foreign and getting paid under the table, so I went to the owner and told him that my coworkers we complaining about their paychecks, and that I had looked at the tapes and saw the correct hours where he had scratched out and taken a couple hours off each persons checks, from this point the owner took payroll tapes home. From this point on I always told new employees to keep up with their clock in clock out papers so that they would have proof (problem continued). This year my ex-boss hired two people from europe and problem continued, one employee quit. The other continued for some time until he notced his checks being short regularly and he did mention this to the owner, his hours were cut. During a conversation with my ex employer, he stated "— is from a little country over there in europe, who knows if they taught him how to count". I took offense to this and expressed this to mr.employer. For three weeks I heard very little from mr. employer (over time I worked for mr.employer we talked on a weekly basis about business). On 11/10/2009 an employee from the hr company that paid me came into the store and I asked him whom I should talk to about the comment that was made and he gave me the lady’s info. The employee left the store and between 11/10-11/13 informed my boss of my plans to speak with someone about the situation. On 11/13/2009 I was repremanded for asking who to speak with about the issue. That following wed 11/18/2009 I was terminated over the phone, the reason given by my employer was "you’re just creating a hostile work environment". I filed for unemp. comp. and was approved but then sent a letter stating "Insubordination" was reason given by employer for termination and insub. is misconduct. I had not spoken to mr. employer from 11/13/2009-11/18/2009, so insubordination was a false claim, not to mention "hostile work environment" statement, being that I worked alone and all employees got along well.What should I do?
