Employee Rights! Is this illegal or what?

Here is my previous question…

I guess no one took me seriously…Now I got my paycheck and Not only did they not pay me for the breaks that I clocked out for (10 min, 2 times a day) But My time card hours in the system show 79.87 hours, on my pay stub it only shows 79.53 hours. How can they do this. Are their any Labor Law Attorney’s (in the Los Angeles Area) out there that would like to take my case. BTW I am not the only employee that this is happening to. We need help desperately..

Thank you
I know I need to file a claim, but if say all 150 employees at my work are being stolen from then this would be a lawsuit not just a wage claim with the state of California. I would also need to take off work to go file the claim…And if I am fighting for pay then that makes no sense…
I called My local office and they said I have to personally bring the claim in, I cannot file online or mail it
In California the law is that if they do not pay for 10 minute rest breaks that the penalty is 0 per 10 minutes violated. I checked the web site.
BTW My attorney that I had for workers comp only charged 10% for all claims

Why does being late piss people off so much? if your not on the clock your not taking any money,?

employee retention is the highest cost for a business. according to gung ho, and the one minute manager writter Ken Blanchard, wouldnt it be smarter to have a good skilled employee show up late then a new employee that sucks show up on time. and i mean five minutes or less late.
i dont mind staying late, i work my ass off, its just people are literaly killing themselves in traffic trying to get to something thats not worth dying for, i was let go from a thriving business i ran for being a little late, but i made a superior product and was put in the paper three times and on the morning news for being so good, and every task i did was completed on time, now she went out of business without my help. im on time now cus i dont have to get up as early though.

Do you have a word that YOU made up and use and then you hear other people using it??

I swear I made up the word "clock"; as used in "to clock someone" (punch).

And also the word abso-f*cking-lutly…and now everyone and their mother say that one!

The following events happened to me from police. Were they fair?

One night at about 2:00 am I stopped to get the Sunday morning paper form a new stand in a strip mall. A cop asked me what I was doing there and asked for identification. I was jogging at the high school track after dark and a cop shined a light in my face and asked me what was I doing there. A cop stopped me for going to slow a few blocks from a bar; I had only had a half a beer but didn’t want to pass him. A cop pulled me over for suspicion of illegal tags just because I had not torn off the prior tags and somehow he thought the tags were illegal. He subsequently pulled off the tag and accused me of the tag being stolen when it was not. A security guard grabbed me when I was running through my former apartment when my only intent was to jog to get the mail. These events occurred even though I am a blond-haired blue-eyed college educated white male, If I had been black would I have thought racial profiling was involved. And most likely in any of these cases if I had been belligerent and talked back to the cop I probably would have been detained or arrested. Despite your race, you CAN NOT talk back to the cops with ANY disruptct despite your race. This is when many of the more serious incidents occur. I am not saying it is right (in fact it is not), but that is the way it is.

Has anyone ever experienced how poorly Wal-Mart treats their employees and customers?

I recently watched a documentary on Wal-Mart. It made Wal-Mart look so bad I could barely believe it. The gist of it was that in other countries they make their manufacturers thing pay for rent even if they don’t live there and give them a poor living condition, make their employees clock out but still work over time, are sexist and do not let women advance to management. They also take money from the city they build in somehow and say they have security measures outside the building but the statistics of theft and kidnapping are very high. Has anyone had such a bad experience like this? It is just hard for me to believe they are so evil.

Rate this joke……….?

For thirty years, Johnson had arrived at work at 9A.M. on the dot. He had never missed a day and was never late.

Consequently, when on one particular day 9 A.M. passed without Johnson’s arrival, it caused a sensation. All work ceased, and the boss himself, looking at his watch and muttering, came out into the corridor.

Finally, precisely at ten, Johnson showed up, clothes dusty and torn, his face scratched and bruised, his glasses bent. He limped painfully to the time clock, punched in, and said, aware that all eyes were upon him, "I tripped and rolled down two flights of stairs in the subway. Nearly killed myself."

And the boss said, "And to roll down two flights of stairs took you a whole hour?"
